Praise Be to God
In Ephesians 1:3–14, Paul reminds us that God alone is worthy of our praise because of who He is and all He has done for us in Christ. Through Jesus, we have been chosen, adopted into God’s family, redeemed and forgiven, given understanding of His will, and sealed with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our inheritance. These spiritual blessings are secure in the heavenly realms and far greater than anything we may gain or lack in this world.
As God's holy people, we are called to be different because we have received His grace and peace, and we are to reflect that grace and peace to others. When we become more focused on our earthly circumstances than the blessings we have in Christ, we can lose sight of the One who is truly worthy of our worship. We are challenged to consider whether we are in Christ, what fills our lips, and whether we truly understand how blessed we are. As we keep God's blessings at the forefront of our hearts and minds, our lives can overflow with praise, pointing others to the hope and joy we have in Him.
