Blessed – Chosen
In Ephesians 1:3-5, Paul reminds us of the incredible spiritual blessings we have in Christ. God has chosen us, adopted us into His family, redeemed and forgiven us, revealed His will to us, and given us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our salvation. These blessings are not based on anything we have done, but on God’s love and good pleasure.
As followers of Jesus, we are chosen for a purpose: to be holy and blameless in His sight. Our identity is rooted in what God has done for us, not in our accomplishments or failures. As we grow in our understanding of these blessings, we are called to live differently from the world around us, with humility, gratitude, and a growing desire to reflect Christ in our lives.
Are you defining yourself by what you have done or by what God has done for you? When we recognize how richly we have been blessed in Christ, we can live with a renewed sense of hope, joy, and purpose, all to the praise of His glory.
