Blessed – Adopted

In Ephesians 1:3-14, we are reminded that God’s blessings flow from His great love for us. Through Jesus Christ, God chose us and predestined us for adoption into His family, not because of anything we have done, but because it pleased Him to do so.

Being adopted into God’s family means we can know Him as a loving Father, are indwelt and led by the Holy Spirit, and belong to one family of believers. As His children, we are called to imitate and honor Him, growing in holiness as we reflect His character. Even when we wander or falter, there is a way back home through confession and repentance.

We have been adopted by birth, not by worth. Our place in God’s family rests on His love and mercy, not our accomplishments. As we reflect on this incredible blessing, we are invited to respond to His love, return to Him when we stray, and live with the hope and confidence that come from knowing we belong to Him.
